Autumn 2017 production – Bronte by Polly Teale
We’ve drawn the line under our very successful 2016 / 2017 season with our AGM last night and welcome our new committee for the coming season – Gayle Thompson, Bill Elliffe, Brendan O’ Sullivan, Michael Giblin, Joe Bergin, Dave Foley and Joe Canavan. For our Autumn production, we are hoping to stage “Bronte” by Polly Teale in early November. The short troubled lives of the Bronte sisters have become one the great literary myths of all time. How was it possible that three women who had never had sex, had probably never been kissed, could write some of the most erotic literature of all time? And why should these plain, reclusive women, who lived in rural isolation, have invented such stories. We shall have a reading of the play next Wednesday 21st June at 8:30 in the Kildrought, Celbridge. All welcome.
